Cautious and careful, he remains weary of any new people especially if they inquire details about himself. Once in the company of those he trusts, he is generally outgoing and very polite. When he's relaxed he can even show a bit of a smart mouth. He feels strongly compelled to repay those who do kind things to him. The moment he senses something may be dangerous, he always looks for an escape.

■ The Past
The Aryohcha and Jhannih are two close-knit miqo'te families who have lived together as a group of one for as long as their ancestors had traveled to Eorzea. For many moons they have ruled their corner of the Shroud with little to no issue, as their genetics have proven worthy to produce remarkable hunters among their numbers. While some may say it was simply luck, they would argue that it was due to a tradition that had long since been carried among them for generations. While most Keepers had no special regard for the men of their kind, to this particular sect they had a distinct, specific purpose for the weak men who were unsuitable for producing worthy children: sustenance.As per tradition, male miqo'te born among them are carefully sheltered until they are old enough to feed and care for themselves. As part of their coming-of-age, they are cast out from their home and into the forest with nothing but the clothes on their back under the light of Menphina's full moon. At this point they are expected to survive the thick of the Shroud and escape out into the world, but such a task is never so simple: the moment he is considered an adult on his own, the females of the family begin the hunt for their former brethren in hopes of successfully catching and consuming them. While most would call such acts barbaric, it is difficult to dispute the claim that feasting upon the weakened males in the moonlight gives them their hunting prowess. The powerful miqo'te matrons among them were more than enough proof that their tradition bore some kind of result. Now, should the male survive their trial and escape into the world, the pursuit of their flesh is usually put to a stop as they are considered strong enough to produce a suitable child should they ever dare to return among their kin later in adulthood.Sobe'ra, the unfortunate fifth son to his mother's name, underwent this trial same as his brothers and kin before him. In the midst of his escape when he should have been caught and consumed, his older brother returned to his rescue and interfered to help him escape unscathed. Though Sobe'ra managed to survive and make his way out of the Shroud, his family would never be pleased to know that someone who should not have lived managed to break free of their age-old practices.

While Sobe'ra spent most of his life on the road and never settling down in the same place for long, he has currently wound up spending more and more time around Ul'dah as of late to hold down a part time job he grew fond of. Though weary about his family finding him, he tried to brush his fears aside to let himself live peacefully for once.

■ Unstable Aether / "Death Loop"
Sobe'ra suffers from an unusual condition that makes his aether incredibly unstable. Over time his aether starts to act up and will result in aether sickness to an extreme level that will cause him pain and eventually death. Once dead his aether will manually 'reset' itself by expiring before reviving at the nearest aetheryte whole once more, mysteriously given new physical form and aether. When this takes place depending on how long into the cycle it took him to die he will suffer varying degrees of memory loss. In the very least, he will not remember his own death and continues to remain blissfully unaware of his own condition. As for how this affects interactions...
You are allowed to kill him. If you want an excuse to kill a character, I will gladly allow this any time so long as you ask first. A death is a mercy killing for him and is much safer than allowing his unstable aether to take his life instead.
His unstable aether is typically hard to detect. Unless he is suffering his usual aether sickness or severe injury, it otherwise looks relatively normal. If someone is capable of seeing or sensing aether it flickers on occasion like a dying light bulb.
The cause of this condition is unknown. If your character wants to study him or try to decipher the mystery behind it, you are more than welcome to investigate peacefully or by force. Feel free to ask me for more details and how in-depth you can go.
He is not aware of this. Due to his memory loss that comes with every death, he is entirely unaware that this happens to him. If you discover this, inform him at your own risk.
Consuming him provides a buff. If your character happens to eat of his flesh or drink of his blood during his death, they receive a mysterious blessing of strength.
He has currently died 16 times. I will update this numbers as the deaths go with a small list detailing each death and with rolls that detail what memories were lost in his resurrection.
■ Fear of Women
Due to his history, Sobe'ra is very paranoid around females, especially those of the miqo'te variety. He is unable to keep still around them for very long and cannot stand up to them. Feel free to take advantage of this to put fear in him or try to help him overcome it.
■ In Disguise
While not exactly a wanted criminal, Sobe'ra considers himself a wanted man who needs to hide from his family or anyone tied to them. Desperate to avoid drawing attention to himself, he often keeps his ears covered up by hat and tail tucked away to aid with looking as non-miqo'te as possible.
■ Odd Jobs
As a young man of frequent travels, there's always a need for money. Whether it be hard labor, deliveries, fetch quests, or more personal intimate favors he is always willing to take up work to pay travel fares and earn a place to sleep and eat. He has little concern for preserving himself and is eager to do what he can to feel alive.
■ The Shroud
Wherever the Shroud touches he is always at risk of being found out by his former family. As much as he tries to avoid it, there are times where he must brave the Shroud as carefully as he can to travel or perform work tasks and he always winds up cowering somewhere in fear.

Attacked by a morbol while carelessly trying to flee the Shroud into Thanalan. He does not recall how or what happened, but knows he left the Shroud at least.
Taken by his own sickness. He does not remember traveling Thanalan or arriving all the way in Ul'dah where he decided to take up temporary residence.
Mercifully shot by Kiht'a before his own sickness could take him. He forgot a couple of the previous days before his sickness got out of hand.
Tricked by a mysterious stranger into making a delivery to a false address, where he was experimented with and killed shortly after.
While in the midst of travel for work, he was cornered by the same mysterious stranger and devoured by some kind of monstrous creature.
Nearly taken by his own sickness, but he took his own life before it could take him. Suffered severe memory loss, going as far as forgetting his boyfriend.
Devoured by a monster while roaming the abandoned structure of an old Garlean base.
Crossing paths with a stranger resulted in unfortunate circumstances that lead to his demise.
Kidnapped by sky pirates and fed to a dragon in a business deal.
Sacrificed in a ritual by a succubus voidsent trying to return home.
Railed and devoured by a monstrous patron after work hours.
Bitten by a venomous snake with no one around to save him or find the body.
